I’m a freelance designer on Reedsy and even I didn’t know about this! Interesting. Might have to kick the tires a bit so I can share accurate info with my clients. Thanks for sharing!

Love it. How do I add a book cover to it ? You didn’t mention

On the Bookshelf, hit Manage <Gear Icon> button on your book and there should be an area to upload an image on the right.

I bought and more importantly started using Atticus a few months before I found Reedsy Studio. Have you used Atticus? I was wondering if I should switch at this point.

The free Reedsy Studio only has three formatting options: Reedsy, Classic (Serif), and Romance. If you already own Atticus, I'd hold on to it for formatting, but if you need collaboration tools and a public preview link, then Reedsy looks pretty good. I don't use Atticus as my main editor, only formatting. However, Atticus promised collaboration back in February and the Roadmap (https://atticuswriter.notion.site/Atticus-Roadmap-58d75fe66e0f40e0a7b39192c2cff6c3) shows that this is in progress for Beta).

I might go through the painstaking process of copying over chapters to Reedsy just for comments and collaboration since it's free but I don't see myself using it for formatting.

Thanks for taking the time to break it down for me Justin, I appreciate it.

I think I'll stick with Atticus for now since I have all my formatting templates set. I don't use collaborations (yet), but maybe they will add them before I get to that point.

Ah, so Reedsy is more than just another email I delete every day. I've been using Atticus for a few years with decent results but the collaboration tools look intriguing, and the pricetag is nice. I'll check it out and if it honors markdown formatting I'm all in.

Nope, doesn't honor markdown. Sigh, oh well, I have a solution for that problem already.

😂 So, I sign in and see a book in there already that I was testing with several years ago.

Very interesting and potentially quite helpful. Also enjoyed Monica and Russell's Kickstarter book.
